Jamshedpur, August 21:Nag Panchami and Kal Sarpa Dosha Nivaran Puja were performed at the Sri Dharma Sastha Mandir in Bistupur. Traditionally, these worships are performed on the first Monday of the sacred month of Adi (as per the Tamil Calendar).
The prayer rituals commenced in the morning with Havan dedicated to Lord Ganesh followed by Maha Rudrabhishek (ritualistic bath) and Abhishek with milk along with the chanting of Sahasranama of Sri Sarparaja (the King of Snakes).Sri Kaal Sarpa Dosh Nivaran Puja was performed by the priests with Sahasranama Archana and a grand Aarti.
The pujas were led by the temple priests Akash Sharma, Mohit Sharma and Priyanshu Sharma. President N Rammurthy, Secretary K S Jayaraman, Treasurer A S Vishweswaran, joint Secretary S Srinivasan, along with S Siva Kumar, Pradeep, Murthy and several other members were present on the occasion. The committee members distributed Prasad among the devotees after the puja. (w/gsd)
