Jamshedpur, Nov 23: Passengers travelling through the Tatanagar railway section will face difficulties over the next few days, with the Railways cancelling several MEMU and passenger services between November 24 and 27 due to technical reasons. The cancellations will affect office-goers, students and daily commuters across East Singhbhum. Trains on routes such as Tatanagar–Rourkela, Tatanagar–Badampahar, Tatanagar–Gua, Tatanagar–Barkakana, Tatanagar–Chandil and Tatanagar–Hatia will remain suspended on selected dates, with some services cancelled for two days and others for up to three. The Tatanagar–Chandil MEMU will not run on November 24. Similarly, multiple services between Chakradharpur–Rourkela, Rourkela–Jharsuguda, Jharsuguda–Sambalpur, Baramunda–Boksay, Hatia–Rourkela and Rourkela–Hatia have also been cancelled on different dates. The Jagannathpur–Purulia MEMU will remain shut for three days. The Railways has advised passengers to check the real-time status of their trains before travelling to avoid inconvenience. Given the large number of daily travellers dependent on Tatanagar, widespread disruption is expected.
