Mukhiya Sangh urges Jamshedpur DC to resume stalled development work in railway area

Jamshedpur, July 9: A delegation of the Mukhiya Sangh of East Singhbhum visited the office of the Deputy Commissioner on Tuesday to present a nine-point demand letter. As the Deputy Commissioner was occupied in a meeting, the letter was handed over to his personal secretary.

Saraswati Tudu, the working president of the Mukhiya Sangh, expressed concern over the stalled development work in the panchayats located in the railway area. Despite a block-level meeting regarding the issue, no solution has been reached. Panchayat representatives have also informed the local MP about their demands, and while the Deputy Commissioner was aware of the situation, the issues remained unresolved. Therefore, the demand letter was submitted to expedite the resolution.

The delegation included Sangh president Paltan Murmu, Mukhiya Joba Majhi of East Kitadih Panchayat, Meena Devi of North Ghaghidih, Ninu Kudada of North-East Bagbera, Mukhiya Manoj Kumar Murmu of North Kitadih, and representatives from other panchayats including West Ghaghidih.

The demands placed by the Mukhiya Sangh included

resumption of halted development work funded by the Panchayat in Railway Area and Housing Colony, conducting all panchayat-level work from the Panchayat Secretariat only, ensuring the presence of Panchayat-level officers in the Panchayat Coordination Committee meetings, approval of pending pension applications promptly and clearing of the dues, holding coordination meetings between Mukhiya and VLE Manager, establishing coordination between the Panchayat and JSLPS, granting Mukhiya full authority over 14 departments and 29 subjects, repairing long-standing solar water towers in many Panchayats, immediately starting the Bagbera Large Rural Water Supply Scheme.
