Jamshedpur, June 27: The entire Kolhan region, including Jamshedpur, experienced pleasant weather for the third consecutive day on Tuesday, accompanied by continuous rainfall. Throughout the day, residents enjoyed a respite from the scorching sun as the skies remained overcast. Intermittent showers persisted in Jamshedpur and its surrounding areas, enhancing the pleasant ambiance.
On Tuesday, Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 28.5 degrees Celsius, which was below the normal range by 5.4 degrees. Similarly, the minimum temperature settled at 24.8 degrees Celsius, displaying a deviation of 0.9 degrees below the average. Looking ahead to Wednesday, June 28, the state is expected to witness light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms in several locations.
The cumulative rainfall in Jharkhand from June 1 to 27 has been 56 percent lower than average. This deficit rainfall has been consistent across all three districts of Kolhan, namely East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan. East Singhbhum experienced a rainfall deficiency of 63 percent, followed by Seraikela-Kharsawan at 68 percent and West Singhbhum at 43 percent during the same period. While the prolonged rainfall brought relief to the region, the overall precipitation remains significantly below normal levels. The upcoming rainfall forecast for Wednesday brings hope for increased water supply and improved agricultural conditions in the state
