Jamshedpur, July 10: A minor girl from Jugsalai went missing for several hours on Saturday. Later, she called her relatives from MGM Hospital and informed them about her location.
Police sources said the minor had left behind a suicide note before leaving her house around noon. The girl alleged that her boyfriend and his friends had gang-raped her, as a result of which she was unable to face the society and hence wanted to commit suicide, sources said.
The minor was admitted to the emergency ward of the government hospital for treatment. Her parents informed Jugsalai police about the gang-rape incident. Police have registered a case of gang-rape on the complaint of the minor’s parents and begun investigation into the incident.
Police officials said they would soon be recording the statement of the victim to speed up investigation.
