Mining engineering students at Baharagora Polytechnic to get Gas training

Jamshedpur, July 19: A Gas Training (GT) Centre has been set up at Baharagora Polytechnic College for training of students of Mining Engineering. As per the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) norms it is compulsory to attain training in Gas Examination Technology to achieve certificate on completion of Mining Engineering course.

Baharagora Polytechnic College is the first in the state to institute a Gas Training Centre.  The College has been set up by the Jharkhand Government, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and recognized by the Jharkhand University of Technology. Baharagora Polytechnic College conducts three year diploma courses. The details were provided during a press conference by former HCL MD Prof Mukteshwar Kundu, Prof Tapan Kumar, Principal Dr SK Mishra and Deputy Principal Anurag Kumar Jha.
