Jamshedpur, Feb 18: Silver medalist at the recently concluded third National Masters� Games in Vadodra, Achinto Pramanik was given a rousing welcome upon his return home to Gamharia.
A resident of Bada Gamharia Basti, Achinto won a second place in the 5 thousand and 10 thousand meter race in the 65 years plus age category. His finishing second earned him a silver medal.
The local people and members of the Adventure Athletics Group led by Lal Mohan Mandal garlanded Achinto Pramanik in appreciation for his achievement at the National Masters� meet.
Among those who felicitated the silver medalist were Vinand Das, Mahadev Pramanik, Sumit Goswami, Ravi Sathpathy, Rohit Das and many others.
