Jamshedpur, Feb 24: The Jamshedpur branch of Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM) was adjudged the best urban branch and presented the late Dr Manju Mehria Award during the state convention of Marwari Mahila Manch organized at Govindpur in Dhanbad. The Jamshedpur MMM branch president Seema Jawnpuria and secretary Rani Agarwal received the trophy on behalf of branch members who were also present on the occasion. This award is presented for general excellence and undertaking social work in a period of two years.

MMM Jamshedpur was honoured with other awards in the realms of branch expansion, eye donation, environmental protection, child development, maximum economic cooperation, public awareness, women empowerment, relief activities during the COVID phases, health care projects among others. The Jamshedpur branch was lauded for the excellent activities undertaken and executed. The State MMM programme concluded on late Wednesday evening. Kashidih resident Manju Khandelwal, former MMM Jamshedpur branch president, was appointed State President for the period 2022-’24 and honoured with the crown and bouquet. Prabha Padia (Jugsalai) was made State Secretary. The list of honours continued for Jamshedpur branch with Jugsalai resident Sushila Khirwal being presented with Best Zone in-charge award. MMM National President Sharda Lakhotia, Provincial President Renu Dudhani and her team, Jaya Dokania, Lata Agarwal and others were present in the MMM State Convention.
