Seraikela, Nov 22: Six Maoists, including CPI-Maoist top leader Prashant Bose alias Budha and his wife Sheela Marandi, who carried a bounty of one crore, have been shifted from Seraikela to Hotwar jail in Ranchi. The decision was taken for security reasons. The Naxalites who have been shifted to Ranchi include Virendra Hansda, Raju Tudu, Krishna Bahanda and Gurucharan Bodra. All were produced in the court on Sunday after the completion of their remand period. On Monday morning, everyone was sent from Seraikela Jail to Hotwar Jail in Ranchi with special security. Security was arranged every step of the way from Seraikela to Ranchi.
Prior to 2004, Prashant Bose was the head of MCII. His wife Sheela Marandi is a member of the Apex Central Committee of the Maoist organization. In addition, she is the head of the Nari Sangh. Prashant Bose used to send cadres from his area of influence from one state to another for training. He used to get big things done.
