Jamshedpur: Following pressure from the people and BJP leaders, the work of construction of diversion finally kicked off at Mango on Friday.
The urban development department officials said the diversion road will be constructed for public use by tomorrow.
The residents of Khariya Busti and Baliguma Bagan Area had come out in protest after the contract workers hired by the urban development department demolished the old bridge linking the twin localities without giving an alternative diversion route to the residents.
The urban development department is constructing a bridge over the nullah passing between these localities.
