Jamshedpur, June 15: Better known as a school producing engineering aspirants, DAV School, Bistupur, has now started nurturing wannabe doctors too.
Several students of the reputed school have cracked the examination conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) this year.The examination was conducted on May 28 last with about 5000 students from the city who answered their examinations.
Several students cracked the AIIMS examination the result of which was announced today. Mangesh Kritya, a student of DAV Public School Bistupur scored the highest rank 431. Mangesh ranked 431 in the examinations followed by Ayush Raj of Rajendra Vidyalaya who scored 537.
“I want to serve the society by becoming an excellent doctor. I would be trying for other government medical colleges like Maulana Azad Medical College. I want admission in a college which has a strong alumni base. I am keeping fingers crossed,” said Mangesh Kritya.
AIIMS exams were held for 700 seats of AIIMS, New Delhi and six other AIIMS at Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh. The entire examination was held as a computer based test (online) mode.
The examination was conducted in a total of 537 centers.
A total of 284,737 candidates appeared for the AIIMS MBBS 2017 entrance exam, out of which 4,905 have qualified and are eligible for counselling session in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) declared the results of its MBBS entrance examination results 2017 on http://www.aiimsexams.org as well as on the websites of other six AIIMS � Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur,
Bhubaneswar, Rishikesh and Raipur.
Shivam Kumar got All India Rank 147 in JIPMER, Pandichery Aakash institute director Rajesh Prasad felicitated him.
This year, Nishita Purohit from Gujarat has emerged as the topper in AIIMS MBBS entrance exam with a perfect 100 percentile score. Other than Nishita, there is just one another student, Archit Gupta, who has scored 100 percentile in the exam.
