Jamshedpur, May 20: Shikshit Berojgar Manglahaat Dukandaar Sangh on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Dr. Amitabh Kaushal demanding measures to curb the practice of goons collecting extortion money from the mangala haat shopkeepers.
Shahi Aadil, president of the sangh, and general secretary Binod Kumar said some people are extorting money from shopkeepers on the pretext of making list of shopkeepers at Sarkar Petrol pump, Sakchi Aambagan, Jubilee Park, and Mango Gandhi Maidan.
Sangh members also submitted the copy of the memorandum to City SP, Dalbhum SDO, City DSP and special officer of JNAC.
