Jamshedpur: The Bagbera Railway Colony Chowk near Shiv Sai Temple in the Potka Assembly constituency has been officially renamed as “Baba Bhimrao Ambedkar Chowk” in a ceremonial event.
The renaming ceremony was inaugurated by MLA Sanjib Sardar, who cut the ribbon and formally unveiled the new name. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local representatives and villagers.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that naming public places after great personalities like Dr B R Ambedkar helped inspire society with values of equality, justice and patriotism. He added that Ambedkar’s ideals continued to guide the nation toward social harmony and empowerment.
A large number of villagers, including local panchayat representatives and community leaders, attended the event and welcomed the initiative as a positive step toward promoting social awareness and honoring national icons.
