Man stabbed to death

Gamharia: Gamharia police recovered the body of a 40 year-old man, identified as Shashank Kumar, from a house in Satvahini, Jamalpur, under Adityapur police station area on Wednesday. They suspect the man was stabbed to death in the house. The house was found locked from outside, police said.

Police officials reached the house on getting a tip-off from loal residents. They found no one in the house. The deceased was later identified as a worker of Sindhu Techno Private Limited, a local company. He was a native of Baharagora. Local residents found the house shut from outside. When they looked inside from the window, they found Shashank lying on the floor.

Cops said they suspected the role of the house owners in the incident. They said the deceased used to live in the house of a local woman, Parvati Tiu. The woman could not be found in the house. Cops have not ruled out the killing as a result of illicit affair.
