Jamshedpur, Aug 7: A 30-year-old man, Chetan Jaiswal, was found dead by suicide at his residence on ME School Road, Jugsalai, on Thursday morning. According to family members, he was discovered hanging from the ceiling using a scarf after he failed to open his room door.
The family immediately informed the police, who reached the spot and took the body for post-mortem. Jaiswal, who was unmarried, lived with his sisters. The incident occurred during the night and his absence in the morning raised alarm.
Police officials said they are investigating the reason behind the suicide. “We are awaiting the post-mortem report and have begun questioning family members,” said the officer in charge of Jugsalai police station.
The sudden death has left the family devastated and in deep shock. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
