Man dies after falling into drain at Govindpur

Jamshedpur, August 1: A 31 year-old man, identified as Rohit Kumar Singh, resident of Garabasa, Golmuri, died after falling into a 50 feet deep drain near Tata Motors South Gate. His body was found lying in the drain this morning. Local residents informed police about the incident. Police later took help of a crane to bring the body out of the drain. The body was sent to MGM Medical College for postmortem examination.

Cops suspect Rohit died of injuries he sustained after falling into the drain in an inebriated condition. They said Rohit was last seen sitting on the guard wall close to the drain. A case of unnatural death was registered in this connection, they said.
