Jamshedpur: A major mishap took place on Saturday afternoon at the Tatanagar railway loco shed. During work at the loco, the crane collapsed and fell over an employee.
Soon after the incident, other employees rushed him to the railway hospital where he was declared dead after investigation. The name of the deceased was Vinod Mahato, he was a resident of Pramod Nagar of Parsudih.
According to information received in connection with the incident, Vinod was working in the ELS department. Work was going on in the loco shed like every day. The work of shifting the loco wheel with the help of a crane was being done.
Meanwhile, the crane’s ceiling was broken and the loco wheel fell down on Vinod’s head. The family has been informed about the incident.
