Madrasi Sammelani holds Punyahavachan ceremony

Jamshedpur, Aug. 11: After the recent successful renovation of main auditorium of Madrasi Sammelani, it has organized a Punyahavachan ceremony (sacred cleansing with holy water amid chanting of Vedic hymns) on 10th August.

After this, Bhagavati Seva (puja for Goddess) was performed (since it is an auspicious Tamil month “Aadi” wherein pujas are performed for Goddesses seeking blessings for harmony, abundant rains, health, peace and prosperity).

The pujas were performed by local priest Raju Shastrigal and assisted by Sitarama Sharma, Gurunath and Gopal.

B Chandrashekhar, Chairman, Board of Trustees, V Natarajan, Secretary, Board of Trustees, G Shankar, President, K S Narayan, Vice-President, K V Srinivasan, Hony Treasurer, M S V Siva, Hony Secretary, B Visweswaran, Committee Member, S Sheshadri, Committee Member, S Ramesh, Committee Member J Suresh, Committee Member and Shiv Kumar, Committee Member, of Madrasi Sammelani were present on the occasion and sought blessings.

Large number of devotees and members of Madrasi Sammelani witnessed the pujas and were offered Prasad.
