Team Loyola Alumni beats team XL Tigers
Six team participated, the tournament took place for the first time for a cause

Jamshedpur, June 11: The Father Quinn Enright Memorial Cricket Tournament at the XLRI Ground was won by the Loyola Alumni Association team that defeated XL Tigers. A total of six teams participated in the tournament that commenced on June 1.

The XL Tigers scored 128 runs in 15 overs. In a nail biting finish the Loyola Alumni scored the winning single in the last ball of the match. Prashant scored 64 runs. Alumni bowler Rochak Kumar was declared the Man of the Match for his figures of 3 for 22 in three overs. XL Tigers team was declared the runner-up. The title of Player of the Tournament was given to FPM student Lalit Sejwal of XLRI, Sanchit Raj of Loyola Alumni received the title of Best Batsman, and Anil Saroj of XLRI received the Best Bowler Award.

This match, played with tennis ball, was organized by XLRI Dean (Administration) Father Donald, Loyola School Principal Father Vinod Fernandes and others associated with the Jesuit Society. This tournament was played for charity. The amount collected in the tournament will be used among the poor and underprivileged of the society.
