Jamshedpur: Carmel Community College, founded by the Apostolic Carmel Sisters to provide professional training to underprivileged women, celebrated its 10th anniversary on January 16, 2026, marking a decade of academic excellence, skill development, and community service.
Established in 2015, the college has evolved into a respected centre for vocational and professional education in the city. Over the past decade, it has empowered thousands of women with industry-relevant skills, values, and confidence, enabling them to achieve employment and self-reliance.
The institution currently offers diploma courses in Office Management, Event Management, Fashion Designing, and Tailoring & Embroidery, focusing on practical training and career-oriented learning. Notably, the college has achieved over 210 job placements and 100 percent internship opportunities for its students, reflecting its strong emphasis on employability.
To commemorate the milestone, a 10th anniversary celebration was organised at Sacred Heart Convent School, bringing together students, alumni, faculty members, staff, partners, and well-wishers. The programme featured cultural performances, alumni interactions, keynote addresses, and recognition of individuals who have contributed significantly to the institution’s growth.
Speaking on the occasion, Sr. Serena AC, Manager of Sacred Heart Convent School, said, “This 10-year milestone is a testament to the dedication of our faculty, staff, students, and supporters.
