Jamshedpur: Friends of Tribal Society (Van Bandhu Parishad), Jamshedpur, will organise a special cultural programme titled “Poetry Concert” on January 18, 2026, at the auditorium of Narbheram Hansraj English School.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at Tulsi Bhawan, where office-bearers of the organisation said the event aims to promote Indian culture, moral values, and social awareness through poetry.
The Poetry Concert will feature renowned poetess Anamika Jain Ambar, along with noted poets Gaurav Sharma, Mishra, and Saurabh Jaiswal, who will present poetic compositions reflecting Indian philosophy, traditions, and contemporary social themes.
The organisers said the programme will also highlight the work of the Ekal Vidyalaya movement, which focuses on education, value-building, self-reliance and national consciousness among children in rural and tribal areas. In the Kolhan region alone, around 580 Ekal schools are currently operational.
Several representatives from Friends of Tribal Society, including members of the Women’s Committee, Youth Committee and Media Cell, were present at the press conference.
Entry to the Poetry Concert will be strictly through passes. Interested residents have been advised to contact the office-bearers of Friends of Tribal Society to obtain entry passes.
Appealing to citizens, the organisers urged the people of Jamshedpur to participate in the event and support initiatives aimed at cultural preservation and social development.
