Love jihad in Lohardaga! Young man raped tribal girl impersonating as Hindu

Lohardaga: A case of love jihad has come to light from Lohardaga district of Jharkhand, where the accused raped a woman by hiding his identity. The sensational case of Love Jihad came to light in Senha police station area of Latehar district, where a Muslim youth, hiding his identity, lured a tribal girl into a love trap and raped her.

The accused youth has been identified as Shahbaz Khan, resident of Senha. The youth introduced him to the girl as Roshan Kujur. He used to lure tribal girls into a love trap and rape them in the name of getting them work. The young man was nabbed red-handed by villagers along with the girl were in the Baksidipā ground.

When the young man was asked his name, he said his name as Roshan Kujur. However, when the police reached the spot, the youth accepted his name as Shahbaz Khan. After this the youth was handed over to Senha police station.After the identity of the young man was revealed, the girl told Senha police station that she had been raped and gave a written application demanding action from the police. Senha police station registered a case of rape and imposed Section 376 IPC and took immediate action and sent the accused youth to Lohardaga jail.

In the last few years, many cases of love jihad have come to light in Lohardaga, where Muslim youths exploit tribal and Hindu girls by luring them into love traps by hiding their identity. There is anger among Hindu organisations over the issue of love jihad and they have demanded the administration to take concrete action to stop Love Jihad in the district and keep an eye on such people.
