Lok Manch: Assistant Director answers public queries

Jamshedpur: Assistant Director, Social Security, Nivedita Roy, spoke to 31 people during Lok Manch programme on Saturday and answered their queries on a wide range of topics. She took calls from 11 am till 1 pm. Most of the problems were related to old age pension, widow pension and other issues of government departments.

A Kadma resident, Papai Chakravarty inquired about the process of applying for pension. He was asked to deposit BPL card, Aadhar card and bank passbook copies with the Mango Municipal Corporation office. Another caller, Sajal Ghosh of Sonari, inquired about the process of applying for old age pension.

He was asked to approach the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee with BPL card, Aadhar card and bank passbook copies. Subal Chandra Sao of Baharagora said his pension was approved on 13th November 2017 but pension payment got effective from a later date.

Many other people including Satish Kumar of Bagbera, Rinki Kumari of Gadra, Rajesh Kumar of Sonari, Neetu Kumari and Kirtu Tudu of Baharagora tried to get information regarding Mukhya Mantri Sukanya Yojana and Swami Vivekananda Pension Scheme. They were told the queries were related to the social security department.
