Legal Club inaugurated at Jamshedpur Public School

Jamshedpur: The students of Jamshedpur Public School had a unique experience today when they had visitors from the DLSA (District Legal Services Authority) who inaugurated the Legal Club of Jamshedpur Public School which comprises students and teachers of the school.

The purpose of setting up such a Club is to generate awareness among the students about their rights and duties and also to know about the provisions in the law concerning children and young adults.

The students of Std IX and X attended the workshop which was inaugurated by Secretary, DLSA, Rajesh Kumar, after which the students enjoyed a session taken up by Advocate SS Prasad and Advocate KK Sinha who told them about provisions in the law which the common man is unaware of.

The students got to know about many laws related to the Rights of children, minors, women, senior citizens etc. They also explained to the children about what are punishable offences and asked the students to be aware of their Rights & Duties and to also educate others about it .The students pledged to become law abiding students and that they would definitely help to spread awareness about the same.
