Jamshedpur: Members of the city-based social organization, Lok Samarpan, paid a visit to Kalyan Nagar and Baridih to take stock of the situation in the wake of flash floods caused by continuous rains.
They were led by the outfit president Lalit Das who distributed food items and other necessaries among the flood-affected families at a temporary camp. Food was also distributed in the households where flood water had entered.
Das advised the youth of the localities to keep a watch on the flood water level, especially at night. He said the residents should immediate contact the district administration and members of Lok Samarpan in case any adverse situation arises. He said the outfit members stood in solidarity with the flood victims.
He said the families should avail the benefits at the government camp. He said the local police stations have been alerted and requested to increase patrolling in the affected areas.
