Jamshedpur, April 14: BJP Jharkhand’s state spokesperson and former Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi visited call on Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker Harivansh Narayan Singh at his residence in Delhi.
During the meeting, Kunal Sarangi urged him that workshops should be organized by the Rajya Sabha for the students of Jharkhand’s universities, colleges and schools to understand and research the parliamentary system of the country. He said that everyone wants that the participation of youth in politics should increase. To change the negative image of common youth towards politics, information about the parliamentary system should be learned from student life. For this, from time to time, seminars, workshops, lecture series by experts on parliamentary affairs related to Rajya Sabha, and visits to Parliament will increase the interest of the students in the parliamentary process. More relevance than bookish knowledge of social sciences lies in knowing the practical side of defenders of the parliamentary system.
Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh said that he has asked the senior officials of his office to make a big proposal in this regard. As soon as the blueprint is prepared, contact will be established with the Vidhan Sabha Secretariat and efforts will be made to organize such programs continuously so that interest in the country’s parliamentary system can be increased among the students.
