KSMS students made aware of Good & Bad Touch

Jamshedpur, July 2: Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) in collaboration with SAFE, Tata Steel, educated students of Std. 2 to Std. 6 about ‘Good Touch & Bad Touch�.

Around 1250 students of the school attended the session on child safety with focus on �Good Touch & Bad Touch�, protection from sexual abuse and awareness regarding Child Helpline number 1098.

The Vice-Principal, Rajan Kaur, inaugurated the session. A short movie �Komal� was screened followed by interactive sessions by Ujwala Asundi Kumar an MBA by education and Chairperson for Project Masoom : Young Indians Jharkhand chapter � a national project that aims to spread awareness against child sexual abuse and help keep our children safe.

She asked questions from the children to assess their recall and learning. Pamphlets were also distributed among the students to share with their parents.

There was a repeat session for the students of Kerala Samajam Hindi School wherein 1000 children benefited from the session.

KSMS is the first school to host the awareness session among the series of school that ‘Project Masoom’ plans to cover in the Steel City.
