Khatian 1932 policy lacks clarity: Arjun Munda

Seraikela, September 18. Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, said on the Khatian based local policy of 1932 and the reservation for backward classes passed by the state government from the cabinet in Seraikela, that the state government has made it through the policy.

“In the case of 1932, they have formulated a policy, in which there is no clarity. Secondly, how has the government done homework in the matter of reservation. These things have not come to the fore. Either it has been done in haste, from political circumstances or has a far-reaching point of view. There is no clarity in this either,” said Munda.

“ If we look at the revenue records about 1932, then from about 1886-87, revenue records started being made. It has been continuously notified in different commissionerates of that time and in some administrative units at different times. From where the state government has set this standard of 1932,” questioned Munda.

.He said that he would not make any specific comment on both the above matters. Because by tossing such cases, many types of questions are tried to be raised inside the people.

The state government has the power to make policy. But whether such a policy has been made for political gain or for a far-reaching point of view, it will be known later.
