Ranchi: Chief Secretary Rajiv Gauba held a meeting on the preparations of Khadi and Saras Mela going to be held from February 11 to 27 with senior officials.
He asked the Ranchi deputy commissioner Vinay Chowbe to ensure smooth flow of traffic around the fair ground.
The CS issued directives for greater surveillance on the roads leading to the Mela and presence of adequate numbers of traffic police personnel on the roads.
Chairman of Jharkhand Khadi Board Jainandu on the occasion said that arrangements of doctors, nurses, ambulances and fire-brigade would be done on the fair ground.
He said that proper arrangements would also be done for the visitors.
Principal secretary of the department of rural development NN Sinha, secretary, Arts, Culture and Youth Affairs, Bandana Dadel, secretary of Industry department, Himani Pandey and others were present at the meeting.
