Karim City College mourns demise of Dr. Ashraf Bihari

Jamshedpur, July 17: Dr. Ashraf Bihari, former Professor and Head of the Department of Philosophy at Karim City College, passed away in Bangalore on Tuesday night at the age of 70 after a prolonged illness.

A condolence meeting held at the college premises was attended by faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students. Dr. B.N. Tripathi, Controller of Examinations, paid tribute, remembering Dr. Bihari as a respected scholar, thinker, and a man of exemplary character admired across Ranchi and Kolhan Universities.

Dr. Indrasen Singh recalled Dr. Bihari’s academic journey, stating that he joined the college in 1982, gained permanent status in 1987, and retired as Associate Professor in 2020, serving the institution for 38 years. He played a pivotal role in advancing the Philosophy Department and contributed significantly to the college’s growth.

The meeting concluded with a two-minute silence and prayers for the peace of the departed soul. College Principal, Dr. Mohammad Reyaz expressed heartfelt condolences and extended support to Dr. Bihari’s family, especially his wife and daughter.
