Jamshedpur, Jan. 4: Jusco School South Park once again made the city proud by winning the National Education Day 2015 award.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organized a project oriented contest on the basis of work done by schools over a period of time.
This competition was organized to commemorate the Birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of Independent India. This year�s theme was- �Skill-Awareness and Empowerment�.
A total of 256 projects were submitted by various CBSE schools of the country. Jusco School South Park was one of the seventeen schools to be awarded.
The chairman, CBSE congratulated the school and praised the Principal Mrs. Shovna De and Vice Principal Mrs. Mili Sinha who lead the school towards making ideal citizens.
The jury was highly pleased by the diversity of the project �Earth Crusaders-Embracing Nature�. It mainly focuses on strengthening sustainability in existing environment , enhancing students� thinking, social and emotional skills , becoming self-motivated learners, getting equipped with vocational skills.
The duo team of School Coordinator Ms. K. Jaishree and students Archana Kumari nominated by the school were invited to Delhi in the third week of December, 2015 for the final round of presentations with eminent panelists.
The school received Certificates and Cash award of Rs. 10,000/-from the CBSE Chairman, Mr. Y S K Seshu Kumar.
The Principal Mrs. Shovna De, Vice Prinicipal Mrs. Mili Sinha, Junior School Coordinator Mrs. Soma Banerjee and other school staffs seemed proud of the achievement.
