Jamshedpur, Aug 16: The 76th Independence Day of India was celebrated at JUSCO School South Park with patriotic zeal and fervor. School Principal and faculty members marked the occasion by saluting the nation and freedom fighters.
The day began by unfurling the National flag by the chief guest AF Madon, Administrator JEM Foundation and School Principal Mili Sinha, followed by the National Anthem thereby preserving the culture and ethos of the school.
AF Madon, in his message to the students and faculty said that Independence Day is an occasion to celebrate one’s homeland, patriotism & freedom.
School Principal expressed pride in the rich cultural past of the country. She urged every student to work with honesty and dedication for the nation and said that the zeal and enthusiasm in any field should not be deterred by any external circumstances.
A cultural programme including speeches, songs and dance was put up by the school students.
Students from Std IV to VII participated in Ghar Ghar Tiranga campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by drawing & colouring the flag while 152 students from Std VIII to XII participated in a plethora of activities designed by the moderators of Fine Arts Club of JSSP, Incredible India Canvas. The Chief Guest gave certificates to the winners of the various competitions conducted under Incredible India Canvas Fest.
