JUSCO receives �Good Practice� award at TAAPR

Jamshedpur, May 12: Jusco has won Good Practice Award for Procurement Practices at the Tata Affirmative Action Convention held on May 6 in Mumbai.

The award was given for developing and embedding SC/ ST vendors into the value chain system of JUSCO�s Procurement Department and providing them platform and opportunity to grow.

The award was presented by Vijay Singh, director, Tata Sons, at a glittering function held at Mumbai.

Ashish Mathur, managing director, Jusco, along with D S Prasad, DGM Procurement, Preeti Sehgal, chief, CSR and company secretary, and Sushmita Ghosh, corporate quality head, received the award.

A total of 35 Tata Group companies participated in the Tata Affirmative Action Program. Last year also Jusco was recognized for Good Practice under Education Section at Tata Affirmative Action Program.

Jusco has institutionalized a procurement process that helps develop vendors belonging to SC/ ST community.

In the last two years Jusco has steadily built up its vendor base and its business transactions value has risen from Rs.29.00 lakh in FY� 14 to Rs.2.74 xrore in FY 16 from vendors belonging to SC/ ST community.
