Jamshedpur, Dec 4: A condolence meeting was held at JSCA office for Samir Ranjan Sen one of oldest member of the association who passed away on 3rd December 2014 at 6:40 p.m.
Members and umpires of the association had attended the meeting at the Association office in Keenan Stadium on Thursday. On the occasion members expressed their past experiences with Mr. Sen.
The members deeply mourned the sad demise and prayed that his soul rest in peace. Late Samir Ranjan Sen (Sen Da) was born at Jamshedpur on 12-01-1935 and was an ex employee of Tata Steel & served for 39.5 years. He retired on 1/2/1996.
He was also a part time employee of JSCA. Sen also involved in umpiring in cricket & national badminton and played cricket for General Office and Tata Steel.
Samir Ranjan Sen was also felicitated by Jharkhand State Cricket Association for his service rendered.
