Jamshedpur, July 26: The JOGGA Inter-School Junior and Senior Girls and Boys Chess Championship was held on July 25 and 26, 2024, at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. The event concluded with a closing ceremony on Friday. Chief Guest for the occasion was Vibhuti D Adesara, Head of Sports (Training Centres and Events), Tata Steel.
The event’s officials included Firoz Khan, VP JOGGA, Jhimjhimi Nandi, Principal of JUSCO School Kadma, Anandita Roy, Deema Tiwary, and Gopal Singh.
In the Junior Boys category-1st prize was bagged by JUSCO School, Kadma followed by MNPS and D.B.M.S. School.
In Senior Boys: 1st: J.P.S, 2nd: M.N.P.S and 3rd: Baldwin School.
In Junior Girls: 1st: M.N.P.S, 2nd: K.P.S., Kadma, 3rd: Kavyapata Global
In Senior Girls: 1st: M.N.P.S, 2nd: Kashidih High School and 3rd: Jusco School South Park.
Earlier, JOGGA conducted a condolence ceremony for the late Lalita Sareen, Secretary of JOGGA.
