Jamshedpur, July 22: On Monday, the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) resumed its action against map deviations in the Sakchi area. Under the supervision of JNAC officials, parking spaces were arranged in two holding numbers, ensuring compliance with building regulations.

Complaints had been received by JNAC about commercial activities being conducted in various buildings across Jamshedpur in violation of the approved maps. In response, JNAC initiated actions against such buildings, specifically targeting those using their basements for shops instead of vehicle parking. So far, actions have been taken against 16 out of the 40 buildings identified.

On Monday, JNAC officials arrived in the Sakchi SNP area to address violations at Holding Numbers 111 and 112, where the stairs leading to the basement were demolished and converted into ramps to facilitate vehicle access for parking. Following this, the team proceeded to the Titan Eye showroom at Holding Number 104. Here, a glass partition was removed to create a pathway to the basement, allowing for the construction of a ramp for vehicle parking.
A JNAC official on-site stated that the actions were being taken in compliance with High Court orders, emphasizing JNAC’s commitment to removing encroachments as mandated by the court.
