Jamshedpur, July 22: On Monday, there was a steady drizzle across Jharkhand, including the Kolhan region. Jamshedpur and its surrounding areas recorded 33.8 mm of rain from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, providing much-needed relief to residents.

The rainfall is expected to continue over the next two to three days, offering further respite to the people of Kolhan.

A yellow alert has been issued for rain in the districts of Gumla, Khunti, Simdega, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan on July 23.

Heavy rain is anticipated in Giridih, Koderma, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ranchi, Seraikela-Kharsawan, and East Singhbhum on July 24.

Similarly, heavy rain is expected in Godda, Simdega, Pakur, Dumka, Deoghar, Jamtara, West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela-Kharsawan on July 25 and 26.

Jamshedpur recorded a maximum temperature of 33.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 26.2 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, Bokaro reported the highest temperature in the state at 36.8 degrees Celsius.

According to data from the Meteorological Department, Jharkhand typically receives 414.9 mm of rainfall between June 1 and July 22. However, this year only 203.5 mm of rain has been recorded, marking a 51 percent deficit from the normal rainfall levels.

In the last 24 hours, East Singhbhum district recorded the highest rainfall at 33.8 mm, followed by 13 mm in Khunti and 3 mm in Dhanbad.
