Jamshedpur, Sept 29: As a part of the Azadi ke Amrit Mahotsav programme, JNAC observed Jan Bhagidari Divas (People’s Participation Day) and launched the Swachh Toilet app as sanitary department workers marked their attendances by scanning the QR code on their smart phones. The QR codes have been installed at every public toilet.
Registering through the QR code, sanitary department employees have to answer six questions including those on cleanliness of toilet seats, urinals, floor, walls, availability of water and working condition of light bulbs. The answers to the six questions have to be accompanied with photographs taken on their smart phones. Attendance will be recorded after filing the questionnaire.
On Wednesday, attendance was registered through the app by the personnel of JNAC sanitary department through QR code at public toilets in Baridih Market, Golmuri Market, Sunday Market, Sakchi Market and Bistupur Market and near Sidgora Town Hall. After registering attendance, a QR code is displayed in the mobile app which can be scanned by any person to give feedback related to toilet maintenance.
JNAC Special Officer Krishna Kumar said that the feedbacks received through use of Swachh Toilet app would enable accurate information on toilet maintenance and cleanliness could be maintained round the clock. Jamshedpur received ODF ++ certification in Swachh Sarvekshan 2021.
