Jharkhand Minority schools to boycott Teachers Day

Jamshedpur: Minority school teachers of the state have decided to boycott Teachers Day celebrations in Jharkhand. This was declared on Tuesday by Jharkhand Minority Primary and Middle School Teachers Non-Teachers Coordination Committee.

A meeting of the district unit of the outfit was held today at Guru Nanak High School, Sakchi. It was chaired by Prabhat Kumar Singh.

The district committee members said all minority schools had decided to protest Teachers Day celebrations and instead join agitation before Raj Bhavan. As per plan, the minority school teachers would gherao the Raj Bhavan on 5th September after gathering at Purulia Road, Ranchi.

Among those present at the meeting included Rijwan Ahmad, Pranav Kumar Ghosh, Anthony Pappu, Surinder Kaur, KM Singh and Kulvinder Singh.
