Jamshedpur, July 3: Teachers of government-aided minority schools of Jharkhand will soon get salaries by the fifth of every month. The state government has allotted Rs 68 crore to the state HRD department for this purpose. The funds have been allocated to all districts. East Singhbhum has been given Rs 10.56 crore while West Singhbhum and Khunti have been allotted Rs 3.57 crore and Rs 4.11 crore respectively.
Sources said the state government has directed the district education officer to pay salaries to minority school teachers on the basis of Seventh Pay Scale.
Teachers� unions have hailed the fund allocation. They said the salaries of teachers for the month of February 2019 could not be disbursed due to departmental mistake.
