Jamshedpur, April 4: State transport and welfare minister Champai Soren was hospitalized after falling sick on Monday. He was admitted to Tata Main Hospital in the morning.
District JMM president Laltu Mahato said Soren was brought to the hospital from his Jilinggora residence in Seraikela-Kharsawan. The minister complained of weakness and exhaustion. He has been reportedly advised rest by doctors, Mahato said.
The minister was scheduled to participate in several programmes in Seraikela today. He was going to attend Sarhul celebration at five places. He was also invited to the foundation day function of Seraikela-Kharsawan Press Club. When he failed to turn up at the programme venues, the organizers called his personal secretary and asked about his whereabouts. The organizers were informed that the minister had taken ill and would not be available for the programmes.
