Ranchi: In the ongoing proceedings related to the anticipatory bail plea of Santosh Yadav, the manager of Pachamba Packs in Giridih district, the Jharkhand High Court has summoned the Director General of Police (DGP) for a hearing on January 12. The court’s decision came after considering the response of the case investigator (IO) during the hearing.
Santosh Yadav, the manager of Pachamba Packs, had filed an anticipatory bail plea, asserting his innocence in the case. According to the applicant’s legal representation, the investigation revealed no involvement of Santosh Yadav in the alleged embezzlement of 800 quintals of paddy purchased by Pachamba Packs in Giridih in the year 2022. Despite these claims, the Giridih District Collector had directed the filing of an FIR against Santosh Yadav and others, suspecting embezzlement of the paddy.
The court, considering the contentions from both sides, deemed it necessary to summon the state Director General of Police for further clarification and discussion on the matter. The summons is scheduled for January 12, where the DGP is expected to provide insights into the ongoing investigation and the allegations against Santosh Yadav.
