Jamshedpur, Oct 29: In a tragic accident late Tuesday night, Jharkhand High Court advocate Pranay Sinha (50) died when his car overturned near Pradeep Hotel on NH-33 in Mandu, Ramgarh district. His wife and daughter sustained injuries in the mishap.
Sinha, a resident of Nawada, Bihar, was returning to Ranchi with his family after attending Chhath Puja celebrations. Police said his Hyundai i20 (BR01FG-3438) lost control and overturned by the roadside, leaving the vehicle badly damaged.
Local residents and Mandu police rushed to the scene, rescuing the injured and shifting them to the Mandu Community Health Centre. Later, they were referred to Ramgarh Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared Sinha dead. His sudden demise has caused deep grief in the legal fraternity.
