Jamshedpur, Oct 29: A special awareness session Hello Periods on “Menstrual Health and Hygiene” was organized by Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City on 29th October 2025 at Narbheram Hansraj English School. The program aimed to break the stigma surrounding menstruation and educate participants—especially young girls on the importance of menstrual hygiene, health, and self-care.
The program was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Vinita Singh General Manager, Medical Services at Tata Steel, Nakul Kamani, President of Narbheram Hansraj English School, Krishna Kharia, President of Rotary Club, Project Chair- Nikita Mehta, Secratary – Jitesh Kumar Chaudhary and Principal Narbheram Hansraj English School Paramita Roy Chaudhary.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Nakul Kamani in his address appreciated the initiative taken by Rotary Club to educate students about Menstrual health.
The session was attended by students of V-VIII, faculty members, and staff, who actively engaged in the discussion and shared their experiences. Interactive activities and questions and answers sessions allowed participants to clarify doubts and gain confidence in managing menstrual health responsibly.
Nakul Kamani presented a sapling to Dr. Vinita Singh as a part of Green initiative by Narbheram Hansraj English School. Rtn. Krishna Kharai and other esteemed Rotarians presented token of appreciation to Dr. Vinita Singh and Nakul Kamani.
The program was hosted by High School English Teacher of Narbheram Hansraj English School Tr. Aditi Sarkar. The program concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by High School English Teacher of Narbheram Hansraj English School Tr. Sharmistha Roy expressing gratitude to the resource person Prathama Bose and participants for making the session a success.
