Jharkhand HC ordered CBI will now investigate death of 6 members of family Hazaribagh

Jharkhand : CBI will now investigate the death of six members of a businessman family in Hazaribagh city of Jharkhand. This incident took place in 2018, which was investigated by the CID. In the report given by the CID recently after completing its investigation, it has been described as a mass suicide. Raising questions on this investigation, Rajesh Maheshwari, a relative of the family, filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court.
While hearing the petition in the High Court on Monday, Justice SK Dwivedi ordered the CBI to investigate the matter. On July 14, 2018, bodies of six members of the Maheshwari family were found in suspicious condition in flat number 303 of the third floor of CDM Shubham Apartment, located near Khazanchi Talab, Hazaribagh. The dead included the head of the family Mahavir Agarwal, wife Kiran Agarwal, their son Naresh Agarwal, daughter-in-law Preeti Agarwal, granddaughter Anvi alias Pari Agarwal and grandson Aman Agarwal.

According to reports, the body of Mahavir Agarwal was found hanging from the bedroom fan. The dead body of wife Kiran Aggarwal was lying on the bed. The dead body of son Naresh Agarwal was lying outside the apartment and his arms and legs were broken. The bodies of daughter-in-law Preeti Agarwal and grandson Aman were found hanging, while the body of granddaughter Anvi was lying on the sofa in the house. Even after a long investigation, the police could not solve the mystery of the incident. After this the investigation was handed over to CID.

At the same time, after four-and-a-half years, the CID had reached the conclusion that all the members of the house had committed suicide.
