Jharkhand HC observations should awaken state govt from hibernation: Kunal Sarangi

Jamshedpur, July 25: The Jharkhand High Court observation on the half-hearted measure adopted by the Jharkhand government should serve to awaken it from its hibernation. Whatever claims the government has made about setting up preventive measures for containing the COVID infection spread and the actual realities differ. This slip between the cup and the lip should be rectified. These observations were made by former legislator and BJP state spokesman Kunal Sarangi, lampooning the state government for not bracing up adequately to counter the coronavirus spread.

Kunal said, �Even the High Court has taken exception to the state government�s inadequate measures to check the spread of coronavirus. The basic infrastructure is defective and riddled with loopholes. BJP has time and again drawn the Jharkhand government�s attention to the lack of testing centres and the chaotic conditions prevailing. The High Court too has made a note of this and directed the government in no uncertain terms to streamline testing and curative facilities to curb coronavirus infection in the state.�

Kunal Sarangi accused the state government of not having a concrete infrastructure and said that it was groping in the dark to find a panacea and misleading people with false claims. The BJP has reiterated its demand for rapid testing facilities and to eradicate the prevailing mismanagement immediately to prevent further viral perils.

�Even if not on the BJP urgings, at least the state government should be activated on the cryptic observations of the High Court and get to work immediately on setting the house in order so as to prevent the COVID-19 tentacles from spreading rapidly in the state,� Kunal Sarangi said.
