Jharkhand freedom fighters demand payment of pension backlog

Jamshedpur, July 11: A five member delegation of Jharkhand freedom fighters met the ADC-cum-Nodal Officer today and demanded payment of pension as per the government notification from August 1, 2015.

The DDC informed them that a letter for the sanction of arrear pension payment had been sent to the government and on receipt of orders the payments would be disbursed.

The delegation is scheduled to meet the Home Secretary and Governor and request them to release their pension arrears. The delegation included Santosh Soren, Raghunath Hansda, Chandrai Mahali, Lalin Mahali and Dil Bahadur.
