Jamshedpur West
In the Jamshedpur West constituency, JD(U) candidate Saryu Roy leads the race by 3,336 votes after the first round of counting. Roy has secured 6,346 votes, while Congress candidate and incumbent minister Banna Gupta trails with 3,010 votes. Independent candidate Shambhu Nath Chaudhary stands third.
Jamshedpur East
BJP’s Purnima Sahu has taken a commanding lead with 7,590 votes, surpassing Congress candidate Dr. Ajay Kumar, who has managed 2,448 votes. Sahu’s lead of 5,142 votes positions her strongly in this early stage.
Baharagora
JMM’s Sameer Mohanty is ahead with 12,205 votes after two rounds of counting, leading BJP’s Dineshanand Goswami, who has received 6,561 votes, by 5,644 votes.
Ghatshila
Ramdas Soren of JMM leads by 2,051 votes with 5,279 votes against BJP’s Baboolal Soren, who has received 3,228 votes.
Potka
In Potka, BJP’s Meera Munda is in a significant lead, securing 16,910 votes, compared to JMM’s Sanjeev Sardar, who has garnered 3,887 votes. Munda’s lead stands at 13,023 votes.
Jugsalai
Vinod Swansi of JLKM leads by 1,767 votes with 6,272 votes. JMM’s incumbent MLA Mangal Kalindi is second with 4,505 votes, while AJSU’s Ramchandra Sahis ranks third with 2,507 votes.
The early trends from the six constituencies of Jamshedpur show a mixed bag for major parties. While BJP has taken leads in Jamshedpur East and Potka, JMM dominates in Baharagora, Ghatshila, and Jugsalai. The coming rounds of counting will further clarify the electoral landscape.
