Ranchi, August 15: Jharkhand Education Minister Ramdas Soren passed away on Friday night during treatment at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi. The news of his demise was confirmed by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) state spokesperson and former MLA Kunal Sarangi. Family members, along with Sarangi, were present at the hospital at the time of his passing.

According to sources, Soren had been in a critical condition for several days and was declared brain dead earlier. His health had deteriorated after he suffered a brain hemorrhage when he fell at his residence in Ghorabandha, Jamshedpur. He was initially treated locally before being airlifted to New Delhi for advanced care.
Despite doctors’ efforts, his condition worsened, and he succumbed late Friday. Apollo Hospital authorities have also confirmed the death. His body is likely to be brought back to Jamshedpur on Saturday for final rites.
