Marandi questions arrest in JAC paper leak case
Ranchi: Politics has also started in Jharkhand in the paper leak case of the matriculation examination conducted by Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC).
The opposition party BJP is constantly trying to corner the government on the issue of question paper leak.
Jharkhand state president of BJP Babulal Marandi has again attacked the government and administration.
Babulal Marandi has posted a post on the social media site ‘X’. In this, he has written, ‘After the matriculation examination paper leak, the police is shooting arrows in the dark. The government or the police administration has not yet been able to decide whether the matriculation paper leak case will be investigated by the CID or it will be investigated by the SIT?
The report of the paper leak case has been sent to the education department by JAC. A proposal has been prepared to get the paper leak case investigated by the CID or the SIT. After the consent of education minister Ramdas Soren, the proposal will be sent to the home department.
After the consent of the Chief Minister, the SIT will be formed or the case will be handed over to the CID for investigation.
Babulal Marandi has also raised questions on the arrest of two people in the paper leak case so far.
He said, ‘There is information that the police have arrested two youths with the same name. So far, two youths named Prince have been allegedly arrested from Koderma and Madhupur. The police is also considering the role of the third youth named Prince. If they have been arrested or brought to the police station for questioning due to the same name as the accused, then the police should deal with them with sensitivity.’ Babulal Marandi has expressed apprehension that the matriculation question paper leak case may be hushed up and innocent people may be accused.
The matriculation science exam was held on February 20, while the question paper was viral since the night of February 18. The viral question paper of the science subject was completely similar to the JAC question paper. After this, JAC sent the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts to investigate it.
JAC had written a separate letter in this regard to the Deputy Commissioners of Koderma, Giridih and Garhwa. In these three districts, it was first reported that the question paper had gone viral. It is being investigated in all the three districts.
The issue of question paper leak has come up in different districts of the state. It is being investigated at the district level in all the districts. Till now, the investigation has not revealed how and from where the paper was leaked.
Officials claim that in such a situation, through the investigation of SIT or CID, it can be investigated through one agency in the entire state. The department believes that this will lead to a better investigation.
